Full Day Excursion to Cinque Terre & the Italian Riviera
This tour offers a unique opportunity to explore both the fascinating and unique Cinque Terre, and the so-called "Italian Riviera", situated along the Ligurian coast. The tour begins with the collection of participants in Sestri Levante. Guests will be accompanied by an expert guide for a guided tour. Coastal train transportation to explore villages.
ITINERARY
Visit to Sestri Levante: Sestri Levante is known as "the city of the two seas" due to its unique location between two bays. Participants will have the opportunity to explore this charming town, admire the colorful architecture, and discover its connection to the writer Hans Christian Andersen.
Stop at an Olive Oil Frantoio (Mill): The tour includes a stop at a local olive oil "Frantoio" (mill) to learn about the production process of high-quality Ligurian olive oil. Here, participants will have the chance to taste extra virgin olive oil and olive paté accompanied by typical Ligurian focaccia.
Visit to Vernazza: After lunch, the group will transfer by train to Vernazza, a charming fishing village located within the Cinque Terre National Park. During the guided tour, participants will have the opportunity to explore the cobbled streets, historic churches, and admire the unique architecture.
Visit to Monterosso: If weather conditions and the season permits, the journey will continue by boat or train to Monterosso, another of the Cinque Terre villages. In Monterosso, participants will explore the historic center and visit places of interest such as the Church of San Giovanni and the Capuchin monastery. Monterosso is known for its beaches and crystal-clear waters.
Visit to Levanto: After Monterosso, the group will return to Levanto, where a brief guided visit will be conducted. Levanto is a tourist destination on the Riviera di Levante with medieval streets, historic churches, and a wide bay.
